Privacy statement
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This statement explains what personal data taqtiqs.be collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: the site sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and only knows who you are if you send a message through the contact form.
Who is responsible
Taqtiqs BV is the controller of the personal data described here.
- Registered office: Stationstraat 54, 9170 Sint-Gillis-Waas, Belgium
- Enterprise number: BE 1038.697.873
- Contact for privacy questions: joris@taqtiqs.be
When you use the contact form
You provide your name, email address, the topic of your question, your message and, if you choose, your company name. I use these details to answer your question and to follow up on it if we start working together.
When you send the form, your message is linked to the visit data of that same page view (see below), so I can see which parts of the site you looked at before getting in touch. Location and network details derived from your connection are added to the email I receive.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and my legitimate interest in answering questions from businesses and following up on them.
Retention: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. In that case, the data is kept for as long as the business relationship lasts and as long as accounting and tax law require.
Visit statistics
To understand which topics interest visitors and how the site is used, taqtiqs.be records anonymous visit statistics. This works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. To recognise several page views on the same day as one visit, a temporary code is calculated from your IP address and browser type together with a secret value that changes every day. Your IP address itself is not stored, and the code cannot be linked to you or to visits on other days.
| What is recorded | What is not recorded |
|---|---|
| Country, region and city derived from your connection; the organisation that owns the network (for home connections, this is your internet provider); device type and browser; the site you came from and campaign tags in the link; language setting | Your IP address; cookies or other identifiers stored on your device; your identity, unless you send the contact form |
| Which sections you viewed and for how long, how far you scrolled, which service cards you opened, which links and buttons you clicked, and the topic you chose in the form | Anything you type in the form before you send it |
If you arrive through a link on a printed mailing or card, the link can contain a campaign code that shows which mailing you responded to. Where such a code is unique to one recipient, your visit can be linked to that mailing.
Legal basis: my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it. You can object at any time (see your rights below).
Opting out: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no visit statistics are recorded at all.
Retention: 13 months, after which the statistics are deleted.
Who processes the data
The data is never sold or shared for advertising. These service providers process it on behalf of Taqtiqs BV:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the visit statistics and contact requests.
- Resend delivers contact form messages by email, processed in its EU region (Ireland).
- Google Workspace hosts the mailbox where messages arrive.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data may leave the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable format. Send your request to joris@taqtiqs.be; you will get an answer within one month.
Visit statistics cannot be linked to a person unless you sent the contact form. For those statistics, I can only act on a request if you send the form's details with it.
If you believe your data is not handled correctly, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Changes
If the way this site handles data changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
